The Sounds of Christmas was our first online station. It debuted in the Fall of 2007, and has aired every November and December since then. This past year, due to popular demand, we decided to stay on year-round. While Christmas music all year long may not be for everyone, for those who do want it (or just need an occasional Christmas music fix), we're continuing to play the best variety of Christmas music!
We have three more stations I wanted to share with you! The first two are special stations for senior living communities, and the third is our new station that plays just about everything!
I'm using what I learned with the Sounds of Christmas on all of our stations. Namely, there is a lot of music out there, and there's no need to play the same, short list of songs over and over.
The first station, Vibrant Life Radio, plays a mix of music from the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's. It's heard in dozens of communities in fifteen states. The second, Cedar Creek Radio, plays music that's a little older, and is for one particular community in California.
The third, the Really Big Mix, is a mix of everything - from big band, crooners and the stars of radio's golden age, through every decade and genre, up to the latest songs on best-selling and streaming charts (as well as new stuff that hasn't hit the charts, yet).
I wanted to post about this because I thought there was a good chance you might know someone who would like their business or community to have its own station. So I thought I'd share these samples with you (and feel free to pass them along)!
