I am so very grateful that I've been able to run the Sounds of Christmas, and share the season (and the music) with so many all over the world.
And I am especially grateful for all the support I've gotten from singers and bands. Sure, they want to promote their release, but they also make the Sounds of Christmas possible. Many of those artists have continued to support the Sounds of Christmas year after year because they also love Christmas music, and they like what this station does, offering up such a huge variety every season.
2016 is the tenth year for the Sounds of Christmas, and I never could have done it without the support of so many. This isn't just about money, though that has certainly helped keep the station on the air, but it's also about spreading the word, sending us music and just tuning in.
Simply saying "Thank you" doesn't feel like enough. So, this Thursday, the Sounds of Christmas will present a Thankful Thursday. We'll be featuring music all day long from the artists that have been so kind of us over the years, from the current sponsors (which you can find on the front page) to those that have supported us before, going all the way back to our first season with Mannheim Steamroller.
When you listen on Thursday, if you hear something you really like, I hope you'll click on over to iTunes or Amazon (or wherever you get your music), and add it to your collection. Of course, you don't have to wait. You can visit those artists by clicking on them on the front page, or by clicking on LINKS above, where you can see all the wonderful folks that have supported us over the years.
Thank you for listening and spending some of your holiday with us!
And may you always believe in Santa Claus!
Ken
