Huey Lewis and the News

This one is a special treat for me.  In December 1984, Huey Lewis and the News sent their fanclub a gift - a green plastic cassette with an unreleased, a cappella version of "Winter Wonderland" (and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas").  The songs never appeared anywhere else.  Until 2009, that is.  While working on one of my label's first releases, I was able to connect with the group, and Johnny Colla did some digging until he came up with the original recording, which he carefully restored.  You can find their version of "Winter Wonderland" on our compilation "The Sounds of Christmas 2009", which you can find under the SOC Music tab here.  It's also on Amazon, iTunes and CDBaby!  Or you can just enjoy this fan-made video (and if you see Huey, wish him a very happy birthday)!
