Hi All!
Not much in the way of news this week. Christmas and New Year's have come and gone, and the Sounds of Christmas will go away Sunday night, following the Feast of the Epiphany.
Thanks so much for stopping by and listening this season, spending at least a little of your Christmas celebration with us! I hope you've enjoyed the music this year, and I'm already looking forward to Christmas 2013 (and hoping that this is the year we really do get that Christmas album from Pat Benatar)!
I'd also, one more time, like to thank the singers and bands who helped make this season possible (many of which you've heard on the Stars of the Sounds of Christmas)! A giant THANK YOU to the Polyphonic Spree, the Prog World Orchestra, Scotty McCreery, Richard Kincaid, Chuck Cape, Frank D'Angelo, Luanne Hunt and Lois Mahalia. Without them, there would be no Sounds of Christmas! You can click on each of their names and visit their homes on the web, check out their music and, if so moved, buy their stuff! Or look them up on Amazon, iTunes, etc. Or just visit them on Facebook or Twitter and show them some love!
That's about it, i think. I hope this new year brings you much happiness and joy!
And with that, here's the last Top Ten of the season....
1) Ronnie Spector and Darlene Love "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree"
2) Michael Keaton "Frosty the Snowman"
3) Otis Redding "White Christmas"
4) Burl Ives "A Holly Jolly Christmas"
5) Casting Crowns "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day"
6) Brian Wilson 'Christmasey"
7) Collective Soul "Blue Christmas"
8) Josh Groban "I'll Be Home For Christmas"
9) Chris Mann "White Christmas"
10) Dean Martin "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"
11) The Empty Pockets "Baby It's Cold Outside"
12) Lois Mahalia "I'd Like You For Christmas"
13) Dreams So Real "Red Lights (Merry Christmas)"
14) Louis Armstrong "Christmas In New Orleans"
15) Polyphonic Spree "A Working Elf's Theme"
16) TobyMac with Leigh Nash "Christmas This Year"
17) Lisa Kessler "Coventry Carol"
18) Payolas "Christmas Is Coming"
19) Sleeping At Last "Silver Bells"
20) Bob Rivers "Toy Sack"
I'm still crunching numbers, and should have a Top 100 list (for the whole season) up next week!
Thanks again for listening, and sharing the season with us!
And may you always believe in Santa Claus!
Ken
