Hi All!
November has come and gone, and now that it's December, Christmas music is all around us!
Thanks so much for listening to the Sounds of Christmas! We're now being heard in all 50 states (plus Washington, DC), as well as 84 other countries!
The All-Request Hour is back. If you click on REQUESTS at the top of this page, you'll find a new blog posted each week, so you can comment with your requests and find out when they'll be on! This is the first year I've tried to do it this way, and hopefully it will work and be a little easier for everyone. I try to get to all of them, but sometimes there are so many requests for a single artist or song that it makes it a little tricky, so bear with me! The new blog for the upcoming week will go active this weekend, so check back if it isn't already up.
The All Request Hour runs from 12:00pm to 1:00pm (Eastern) each weekday.
The New Music Hour is also back. From 8:00pm to 9:00pm (Eastern) each weeknight, you'll get an entire hour of the latest Christmas music! I'm still adding lots of new music, so you'll always get to hear something new! This week, you can catch new songs from Sarah McLachlan, Roger McGuinn and the Killers (among many, many more)!
You can also hear the singers and bands that are sponsoring us this season, as well as those who have been a big part of the Sounds of Christmas in years past, on the Stars of the Sounds of Christmas. That airs four times a day, at 1:00am and 7:00am, and 1:00pm and 7:00pm. You'll hear from Richard Kincaid, Scotty McCreery, the Prog World Orchestra, Judy Pancoast, Chuck Cape and the Polyphonic Spree, as well as Tommy James, Shelby Lynne and Mannheim Steamroller (just to name a few).
Speaking of Scotty McCreery, we'll be launching the Scotty McCreery Song of the Day Contest this Monday! You can win a CD Prize Pack including Scotty's new CD "Christmas With Scotty McCreery"! You can get the details on that RIGHT HERE!
And on Tuesday, it's the return of Two For Tuesday! Each Tuesday in December, you'll hear two songs in row, all day long, from all your favorite Christmas music artists!
That's the news for now, so let's move on to this week's top ten. Since the Sounds of Christmas plays thousands of songs, all the top ten's for the rest of the season will have at least twenty songs. It just seems hard to limit it to only ten, when we play so many!
Anyway, here's this week's list of the highest-rated songs on the Sounds of Christmas....
1) Jimmy Fallon and the Muppets "The Twelve Days Of Christmas"
2) The dB's "Christmas Time"
3) Suqeeze "Christmas Day"
4) Richard Marx "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day"
5) The Fabulous Thunderbirds "(Rockin') Winter Wonderland"
6) Leigh Nash "Wishing For This"
7) Susan Egan "All Those Christmas Cliches"
8) We Shot The Moon "Up On the House Top"
9) Celtic Woman "Mary's Boy Child"
10) Trans-Siberian Orchestra "Wizards In Winter"
11) Mannheim Steamroller "Above the Northern Lights"
12) The Beach Boys "Merry Christmas Baby"
13) Cyndi Lauper "Home On Christmas Day"
14) Lisa Kessler "The Christmas Song"
15) Richard Kincaid "This Christmas (Mistletoe)"
16) Bobby Goldboro "Look around You (It's Christmas Time)"
17) The Crystals "Parade Of The Wooden Soldiers"
18) Tracey Thorn "Tinsel And Lights"

By the way, if you want your voice to be heard, rating the music we play, you can find the details on how to do that RIGHT HERE!
Thanks again for listening, and sharing the season with us! If you know someone who loves Christmas music, please send them my way!
And may you always believe in Santa Claus!
