Halfway Through November Top Ten

Another week has flown by, and now we're halfway through November!

Thanks so much for listening to the Sounds of Christmas!  In the two weeks that we've been back on the air, we've reached listeners in 47 states, Washington DC and 51 other countries!

While I might try and get some of these things going early, I wanted to let you know about what's coming to the Sounds of Christmas!

The All-Request Hour will be back a week from this Monday.  If you click on REQUESTS at the top of this page, you'll find a new blog posted each week, so you can comment with your requests and find out when they'll be on!  I may take that out for a test drive next week, but it will definitely be back Monday the 26th.

The All Request Hour will run from 12:00pm to 1:00pm (Eastern) each weekday.

The New Music Hour will also be back Monday the 26th (if not before).  From 8:00pm to 9:00pm (Eastern) each weeknight, you'll get an entire hour of the latest Christmas music!

We'll also be shining the spotlight on the singers and bands that are sponsoring us this season, as well as those who have been a big part of the Sounds of Christmas in years past.  The Stars of the Sounds of Christmas will air four times a day, at 1:00am and 7:00am, and 1:00pm and 7:00pm.  You'll hear from Richard Kincaid, Scotty McCreery and the Polyphonic Spree, as well as Tommy James, Shelby Lynne and Mannheim Steamroller (just to name a few).

Speaking of Scotty McCreery, on Monday December 3, we'll be launching the Scotty McCreery Song of the Day, which will be your chance to win a CD Prize Pack including Scotty's new CD "Christmas With Scotty McCreery"!  You can get the details on that RIGHT HERE!

Also coming in December, the return of Two For Tuesday!  Each Tuesday in December, you'll hear two songs in row, all day long, from all your favorite Christmas music artists!

That's the news for now, so let's move on to this week's top ten.  Since I'll be loading our 2000th song later today, all the top ten's for the rest of the season will have at least twenty songs.  It just seems hard to limit it to only ten, when we play so many!

Anyway, here's this week's list of the highest-rated songs on the Sounds of Christmas....

1) Sarah McLachlan "Christmas Time Is Here"
2) Paul Carrack "Thinking About You (This Christmas)"
3) The Crystals "Parade Of The Wooden Soldiers"
4) Richard Marx "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day"
5) Elvin Bishop "Silent Night"
6) John Popper and Eric Clapton "Christmas Blues"
7) Paul Young "What Christmas Means To Me"
8) Clarence Clemons "The Christmas Song"
9) Sheryl Crow "White Christmas"
10) Richard Marx "Christmas Spirit"
11) Lynyrd Skynyrd "Christmas Time Again"
12) Colbie Caillat with Jason Reeves "Every Day Is Christmas"
13) Bing Crosby and Peggy Lee "Here Comes Santa Claus"
14) Trans-Siberian Orchestra "Wizards In Winter"
15) The Empty Pockets "Baby It's Cold Outside"
16) Richard Kincaid "This Christmas (Mistletoe)"
17) Lisa Kessler "The Christmas Song"

By the way, if you want your voice to be heard, rating the music we play, you can find the details on how to do that RIGHT HERE!

Thanks again for listening, and sharing the season with us!

And may you always believe in Santa Claus!
