Hi All!
Here we are into December! At the Sounds of Christmas home, our tree is up, but not decorated, yet. Hoping to take care of that, and finish getting lights up today! Hope you're having a wonderful season!
Thanks so much for listening to the Sounds of Christmas! We're now being heard in all 50 states (plus Washington, DC), as well as 99 other countries!
The All-Request Hour is back. If you click on REQUESTS at the top of this page, you'll find a new blog posted each week, so you can comment with your requests and find out when they'll be on! This is the first year I've tried to do it this way, and hopefully it will work and be a little easier for everyone. I try to get to all of them, but sometimes there are so many requests for a single artist or song that it makes it a little tricky, so bear with me! The new blog for the upcoming week will go active this weekend, so check back if it isn't already up. Had a little trouble with it near the end of last week, but I think it's fixed now!
The All Request Hour runs from 12:00pm to 1:00pm (Eastern) each weekday.
The New Music Hour is also back. From 8:00pm to 9:00pm (Eastern) each weeknight, you'll get an entire hour of the latest Christmas music! I'm still adding lots of new music, so you'll always get to hear something new! This week, you can catch new songs from Bunny Sigler, Chaka Khan and the Piano Guys (among many, many more)!
You can also hear the singers and bands that are sponsoring us this season, as well as those who have been a big part of the Sounds of Christmas in years past, on the Stars of the Sounds of Christmas. That airs four times a day, at 1:00am and 7:00am, and 1:00pm and 7:00pm. You'll hear from Richard Kincaid, Scotty McCreery, the Prog World Orchestra, Judy Pancoast, Chuck Cape, Frank D'Angelo, Luanne Hunt and the Polyphonic Spree, as well as Tommy James, Shelby Lynne and Mannheim Steamroller (just to name a few).
Speaking of Scotty McCreery, the Scotty McCreery Song of the Day Contest continues this Monday! You can win a CD Prize Pack including Scotty's new CD "Christmas With Scotty McCreery"! You can get the details on that RIGHT HERE!
And every Tuesday in December is a Two For Tuesday, with two songs in row, all day long, from all your favorite Christmas music artists, all day long!
That's the news for now, so let's move on to this week's top ten. Since the Sounds of Christmas plays thousands of songs, all the top ten's for the rest of the season will have at least twenty songs. It just seems hard to limit it to only ten, when we play so many!
Anyway, here's this week's list of the highest-rated songs on the Sounds of Christmas....
1) The Fabulous Thunderbirds "(Rockin') Winter Wonderland"
2) The dB's "Christmas Time"
3) Dillon Fence "Christmas"
4) Sheryl Crow "Blue Christmas"
5) Michael Buble "Grown Up Christmas List"
6) Bing Crosby "Do You Hear What I Hear"
7) T-Rex "Christmas Bop"
8) Royal Crown Revue "Christmas Lights"
9) Tracey Thorn "Tinsel And Lights"

17) Ray Charles "Christmas In My Heart"
18) The Beach Boys "Merry Christmas Baby"

Thanks again for listening, and sharing the season with us! If you know someone who loves Christmas music, please send them my way!
And may you always believe in Santa Claus!
